PocketBible King James Version with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - LBKKJVEC01

Product Description

The King James Version with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance (for use with all versions of PocketBible) is actually three reference books in one:
  1. The King James Version Bible (KJV) with Strong's numbers lets you determine what Hebrew or Greek words underlie the English words without actually having to know the original languages!
  2. The KJV Hebrew-Aramaic Dictionary lets you look up the definitions of Hebrew words by just tapping the word number in the KJV.
  3. Similarly, the KJV Greek Dictionary is your reference for Greek words when studying the New Testament.

Over 100 years ago, James Strong created a unique reference book: A list of every word in the Bible, including a list of every occurrence of every word, and the Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek word from which it was translated in each case. By assigning a number to every original language word, Strong made it possible for a layperson with no language experience to quickly find the word in his Hebrew and Greek dictionaries.

Tap a Strongs number in the KJV New Testament to view the definition of the original language word from the Greek Dictionary. Tap a Strongs number in the KJV Old Testament to view the definition of the original language word from the Hebrew-Aramaic Dictionary. Search for every occurrence of a particular Hebrew or Greek word by its word number.

Our Strong's Exhaustive Concordance puts this power in the palm of your hand. While viewing the English text of the KJV Bible, just tap a Strong's number to view the dictionary definition of the original language word from which the English was translated (see screen shots). Every entry in the Hebrew and Greek dictionaries include:

  • Original language spelling using fonts supplied with PocketBible
  • Transliterated spelling
  • Pronunciation
  • Origin of the word
  • Definition of the word

This would be a powerful resource if that's all it did. But there's more. Using the powerful search features in PocketBible, you can:

  • Search for every occurrence of a particular Hebrew or Greek word by its word number. Searching for g26 finds every time the Greek word agape is used. PocketBible highlights the English word translated from agape in every verse in which it appears.
  • Search for every time a Hebrew or Greek word is translated into a specific English word. Searching for love:g26 finds everywhere that agape is translated "love" in the KJV.
  • Search for every time a Hebrew or Greek word is not translated into a particular English word, or every time a particular English word does not come from the specified Hebrew or Greek word. For example, love:-g26 finds everywhere the word "love" is not translated from Greek word 26, and -love:g26 finds everywhere Greek word 26 is not translated as "love" in the KJV.
  • Combine any of the searches above using Boolean (AND, OR, NOT, XOR) operators, wildcards, and phrases.
Other Pocket PC Bible software may "have Strong's numbers" but you won't find this combination of features anywhere else.

Just want to read the KJV Bible and not be bothered with all the numbers? Turn the numbers off and you've got the entire uncluttered text of the King James Version Bible. But you can still do the searches described above, and the results will be highlighted in the English text.
